The Center for Community Health Leadership
The Center for Community Health Leadership is sponsored by Allscripts out of a recognition for the need for action by communities across the country toward a goal of delivering only high quality, coordinated healthcare. The Center is dedicated to transforming community connectivity from a high-level concept into practical application.
Via $10 million in granted software from Allscripts and support from Center Partners, the Center is working to identify a select number of communities interested in developing a network of interoperable EHR systems to be used by hospitals, physician offices, home care agencies and/or patients. The resulting improved clinical connectivity allows for coordinated and higher quality care and decreased costs across the healthcare continuum.
The Center, in partnership with a strong Advisory Board of external industry experts, also works to make helpful information broadly available to other medical professionals in communities not receiving a grant. Thought leadership materials appear in various news outlets and are produced by the Center in the form of white papers, articles and general guides.
